Commercial Beekeeping: From Hive to Honey Business

This practical program teaches beginner farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs how to build and manage a profitable beekeeping operation. It covers honey bee biology, apiary planning, hive and colony setup, routine inspections, swarm control, and pest and disease prevention. Participants will also learn to harvest and process honey, develop beeswax and propolis products, create packaging and branding that supports premium quality, find customers through local and international sales channels, and calculate the costs and returns of a bee business. The course is aligned with M-Smart Farm’s focus on high-quality agricultural products and global commerce.
